“Why Are We Here”
Why are we here? What is life all about? These are questions that the world is asking because they do not know God. The world sees life on a very limited basis because they know the flesh only which is temporary at best. The flesh has a beginning and end. To know God is to be out of the world of the flesh and into the perfection of life, His Word.
The world and the flesh ask these questions because they are not fulfilled or satisfied. In truth, they have never known joy which only can satisfy the soul. There is nothing that can satisfy the flesh, not even God’s love. There was a time when the flesh could have had satisfaction but, instead, preferred itself over the God that made it.
At one time, while being of the world, I asked these same questions. I had a void and emptiness within myself. The world was promising happiness but there was none to be found, not true happiness. Now, I know that I did not settle. I wanted true happiness. I did not know it but that was what I wanted. When God gave true happiness to me then I knew it was what I had been seeking my entire life.
The world does not have true happiness but promises it anyway. What the flesh promises has an outward appearance but an inward effect. The outward appearance is a pretense of happiness while the inward effect is death. I know that the world is lying about life because I was there once.
The good of life that they take credit for was given by God. The world simply claims for themselves what He has done already. No good thing is done without God.
The high-minded would say that my unhappiness was due to depression. Everybody in the world suffers likewise in their lives. The happiest of people in the world are depressed in the spirit. They simply do not admit to it. “Seeing me smile does not mean I am glad.” The cause of their depression is the fact that their spirits are ignored and dying. The condition may not be obvious to them but their abandonment of God is the reason. This condition is a disease of the soul.
The spirit is the part of your existence that is forever, not the flesh. The only thing that can satisfy the spirit is the Spirit of God. “No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse. Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.” Anybody telling you to the contrary is lying. Since the world ignores God then the spirit is abandoned too.
The basis of the world’s existence is lying. Lying prevails in their minds and is how they try to justify themselves. But, what good is living a life that has a dead end?
We, the righteous, know why we are here. We understand the purpose of living, have contentment, and are fulfilled in our lives. We understand that the answers are not through the flesh but the Word of God. We have tried the world which did not satisfy. We wanted more and would not settle for what the world was offering, which is nothing. We know that God is the giver of Heaven and hell. Having come into the sanctuary of God, we understand now and rest well in our souls.
Hear the conclusion of the matter - We are here to serve and love God in the same way that He serves and loves us. Yes - God does serve us but He does not bow to us. From the beginning, God intended for us to know, experience, and be love as He is. God wants us to know love in its full glory and power. Yes - love is power because it is stronger than death (remember Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the cross).
Through our words, we try to describe God’s love but the effort is futile at best. You cannot do it. You can experience, know, and be in God’s love but cannot explain His purity. Anybody saying otherwise is not being truthful. We do have a very personal and intimate relationship with God. What goes on between us is exclusive. What makes our relationship exclusive is that we love Him back. No other relationship is as special.
Our love in God is special because we are creatures of His Spirit and He engages us wherever and whenever in life and spirit. God is this way with His people but the devil is not. While God loves us for obeying Him, the devil torments the flesh for obeying him. The devil is a stranger to all while our Lord Jesus Christ is our personal Savior.
The people that are asking these questions are at a crossroads in their lives. Their souls are begging for salvation and do not want to die. The key is that one must be listening. If he hears his soul’s cry then he can hear the Holy Ghost speaking too. If the soul will hear and obey then the Holy Ghost will lead his or her soul out of despair and into the joy of God through His preacher. The price is high - To gain salvation one must let the world die out of his soul. Actually, the price is not that high because the caretaker of the world (the flesh) is going to die anyway. Since the flesh is going to die anyway then letting it die out of your mind beforehand is no big sacrifice. You see - The hard part has been completed already by Jesus Christ. He suffered the true pains of death so that we would not have to. His death was the only one that could allow the world to live.
God’s Word is our bridge to Him. Our existence is about much more than husbands, wives, children, family, loved ones, and possessions. It is about God versus Satan. You see - We are interacting with God and the devil throughout our lives.
As the Lord is then so are we in this world. God worked; therefore, we must work too. To expose the insincerity and dispense with the world’s prayer for God to restore the kingdom of heaven, He gave the flesh everlasting life at the beginning with a condition. By satisfying the condition then life could have been made eternal for the flesh. However, flesh will not honor God’s commandment and keep the blessing.
The commandments of God come with great power and responsibility. The flesh saw right away that obeying meant the diminishing of its place in life for the spirit. The flesh was not interested in being the lesser although its pleasures and enjoyments could have been preserved. The flesh wanted all of life to itself and instead sought to destroy the spiritual soul. Therefore, the flesh was willing to hear the lies of the devil rather than the Truth of God. I pursue no further the point that the flesh could have had eternal life because it was never going to serve God. Case closed.
Incredibly, the flesh still refuses to keep God’s commandment but wants Him to restore eternal life anyway. Even though the flesh suffers through disobedience, it will not return to God. The flesh and the world want God to submit to their will. Consequently, the flesh chooses death over life outright.
The old kingdom (which is the flesh) has passed away from before God. Jesus Christ stands now in its place and through Him everlasting life is at hand again. God still requires of us that certain work in order to receive eternal salvation. The work remains to honor God’s commandment. This time the reward for obeying is greater and the punishment for disobeying is worse than before. God’s Will, then and now, is for us to be as He is and to receive the richest blessing. God loves hard and wants us to do the same. God lets nothing get between Himself and us. However, we allowed iniquity to separate ourselves from Him. To correct the problem, we have to return to God’s commandments despite the temptations of the flesh. “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
God’s great plan is a very simple one - That we love our brethren in heart, mind, body, and spirit. In loving one another, there is God in the midst because He is love. There is no love without God. You will always find the Lord where true love is. He made us according to His purpose; as gods to know good. He allows us to choose good or evil for our lives. God did this. Therefore, He has dominion over us. We do not and will never have dominion over Him.
“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungered. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.” (Matthew 4: 1 - 11).
Jesus Christ came down from Heaven to clean up the mess that we had made of our lives and to show us how to serve and love God. And, God was extremely pleased with Him. Jesus was not going to let what happened to the flesh be a recurrence with His life. He stayed focused and true in His devotion to the Father.
We are tempted of the devil all the time in secret and openly. The devil hates and, like God, does not discriminate. What I mean to say is this - The devil hates those good and evil because he is a hater. Hate hates the hater. God loves regardless of whether you love Him. If you die in sin then the fault is yours because the only requirement is to love Him in return.
To tempt you, the devil focuses on where he sees you to be weak which is through the flesh. God has given to us life through His Spirit. To turn your mind from God, the devil stirs and troubles the flesh. During Jesus’ temptations, the devil kept bringing carnal enticements while knowing that the Lord desired the Spirit of God. Jesus (having suffered temptations that tormented His spirit for forty days and nights) was hungry for God’s Spirit yet the devil kept bringing to Him the things pertaining to the flesh.
Jesus rejected all the temptations by sticking strictly to the commandments that God Almighty gave us. Strictly adhering to the commandments of God is the same standard by which we must live today.
The temptations of the world are not without appeal. At times, they can seem to be very beautiful and sweet to the flesh. However, one must not live by a feeling alone but by knowledge and understanding. Understanding where a temptation can lead you is more important than the pleasure of it. If the temptation would lead to life then I could understand. But, temptations are named appropriately because their nature is to draw you away from God. They promise life but lead to the death of the flesh and soul.
Once the devil saw where Jesus ‘lived’ then he tried to use the scriptures as a lure. The devil’s tactic was to get Jesus’ attention and draw Him out of the mind that He had. The devil’s failings were that he could only offer Jesus the world. Jesus came from and worked to return to the life that was much greater than of the flesh. Jesus kept rejecting the devil until the temptations ended.
Finally, the devil got to the point and exposed his true intentions but Jesus would have none of it. Jesus would let nothing distract Him from the work that He was sent to do. As a child of God, you should get angry at some point with what the world is doing. Their temptations should be offensive to your spirit. If not, then something is wrong with your holy ghost. Love and hate do not mix.
We are here to serve God and were made for this purpose. As a result, we get rewarded with a life that is better than the one we tried to make for ourselves. We get blessed with the good minds for having done a job well while enduring the bad minds. “Well done thou good and faithful servant. Thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.” The angels ministering unto Jesus was when the good minds appeared to Him after His temptations. They are sweet to the spirit.
“For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” (Hebrews 10: 1 - 10).
The law is the imposition of the commandments on the flesh. The law was necessary because the flesh continued to show its lust for evil works. The purpose of the law was to show the flesh how to live by not doing those things that led to death. But, instead of obeying the law, the world continues to disobey and dies accordingly.
Through the law - God gave the people a means by which to keep their minds on Him. Through the sacrifice of bulls and goats, they were to be cleansed of their sins. You would think that once cleaned then the people would not return to their sinful ways but they did. Instead of being true, the people saw an easy way out of their responsibilities by letting the animals suffer for their wrongs so that they could continue with their sinful ways.
Only ceasing from sin can clean and keep a soul which is the work which God requires of us. The animals were sacrificed because they had no conscience of sin and were ‘cleaner’ than ourselves. But, with the world continuing their sinful ways, the sacrifices were ineffective and futile. Plus, the conscience of sin was never removed so the filth of the world remained. “For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.”
Trying to serve God without the spirit was not working because the flesh will not stop its sinful ways. For righteousness’ sake and purity of life, those that commit a wrong should be the ones to account for it. Unfortunately, there was no one that could because all were unclean until Jesus Christ. Only someone who was clean could remove our sins. Jesus came to bring us the Spirit of God which is the very thing that we were lacking but had to have. He came to show us how to serve God through our spirits. Jesus was without sin according to the spirit. Now, to be clean is to follow the Spirit of God and not the flesh.
He came to write the commandments in our foreheads and hearts to show us how to not let anything separate us from God ever again. Jesus did this work through the sacrifice of His own body and not that of another’s which is your reasonable service. God sent somebody to serve Him. His Written Word had ordained it so. Doing the Will of God is a man’s charge and purpose. A man or woman will never know his or her glory in life until they commit their souls to the Lord.
Man was put on earth to receive great glory by doing great work. The work was to keep God’s commandments and to spread it throughout the world. In doing so, man would be translated into a spiritual soul. This way, he would be in God’s likeness and image. God put everything in place for this glory to happen. All man had to do was obey.
Adam was intended to be Jesus Christ for the flesh but, instead of leading, he followed. The blind cannot lead the blind. Outside of God, you are blind. The weightier matters of life terrify the disobedient because they are made to see the Truth. The children of God come to the Truth while those of the devil flee from it.
When we commit our souls unto the Lord then He sends us to do His Will. When our souls say, ‘Yes Lord’, to His Will then we are His children. We are here to serve at the pleasure of our God and in doing so our souls are pleasured by Him. Again, we did not create God but He made us. We did not create life but He created us. To deny God is to suffer and die. The flesh denies God so it suffers and dies. Even so, our souls live if we obey Him. The devil is beaten and God is victorious. There is nothing that can stop us from serving our God. We can go through hell to get to Heaven.
The world wants to offer God everything that He does not want and deny Him the one thing which He commands. God does so much for the world who does nothing for Him. Be glad that God is true whether you serve Him or not. God is love and nothing will ever change Him. He knows that we are feeble at best and does all to help us. Whether we appreciate His love is another matter. Being weak is easy. Being strong is power. Anybody can die but only a few live. Most people are lying.
The Written Word commanded that the Christ of God should come into the world. The same Word commands us to love God through Christ Jesus. You cannot love Jesus without loving God. You cannot love God without loving Jesus. We are not here to please ourselves; that is God’s work. Our work is to please Him.
As the natural man is incomplete without his wife then so is the spiritual man. God gave the natural man his wife and help meet, the woman. And, God gave the spiritual man his wife which is church. Jesus Christ built church out of Himself through God’s Word and so must every man now. The help that we need is here already. We simply have to use what God has given us.
“Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.” (John 18: 33 - 38).
These questions have been answered, repeatedly. God’s Will is that there be a remnant out of all Creation to serve Him. We, the children of God, are the remnant. Jesus Christ led the way and we follow. As I have stated before, to gain the greater glory you must do the greater work. The greater work is hearing and obeying the Word of God. We seek not the praise of men but of God. The souls that God finds doing His Will are the same which He has chosen.
Out of all Creation, God takes some people for Himself. Not everybody is going the way of the devil. We know why we are here now. We have the true sense of purpose. Our lives fit now. No more feeling out of place or being clumsy of spirit. There are many in the same predicament that will not turn to God when He is exactly what they need. Jesus is the answer. What was the question? The question was and is, ‘Why are we here?’ We are here because of the love of Jesus Christ. Serving Him is simply the right thing to do. Who is this soul that wants kind treatment but does not return the same?
For a people that prides themselves in their efforts to gain knowledge, they lose interest quickly whenever the topic of God arises. He is the greatest knowledge of all. Some have died pursuing higher learning yet the highest remains ignored. “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
“And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear. He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities. And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow. And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow: Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury? And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds. (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.) For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him. But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.”
(Luke 19: 11 - 27).
Work is central in every man’s life. Like water, work is in the plan of salvation too. God knows these truths which is why He gave work to man. God gave us a work to do at the beginning which is required even unto this day. Work is healthy for life and good for the flesh and soul. When a man works then he creates, like God. God made us and then gave us the substance that we would need for life, His Word. The work that He gave us was to keep life as He had given it. In doing so, we keep ourselves. Did we know this at the time? No - But we come to the Truth through obedience.
We increase and multiply ourselves by doing the work that God commands. We grow in grace and become like God increasingly. Our work in this life translates us from carnal to spiritual beings. What we want is God and nothing else. When Jesus prayed, ‘Father, glorify thou me with the glory that I had before the world was’, He was showing even more why we are here.
You see - We all come from God. Unlike the rest of us, Jesus did not lose His way after coming here. We had glory before coming here. Jesus did not lose sight of the fact but we did. The work that He did got us back on track with our God. Now - If we do the work that God has re-committed to us then our glory will be restored, like Jesus.
We are here to show God our true love for Him. Anybody will say that they love you as long as you are doing everything for them. But, put their love to task and see how they respond. One must have a choice for love to be true. Therefore, God gave man a choice of loving Him or the flesh. Those that choose God despite the temptations of the flesh prove that they love Him more than anything else. And, He loves you even deeper and rewards you even greater for such true love.
Only a few give God such love. The rest do not. Even for the few, God picked us. We did not choose Him. Therefore, we love Him because He first loved us. The others refuse to do as He commands. They are thieves and robbers, wanting the blessings of God while giving nothing in return. They are interested only in God’s goodness to them. They live in contradiction of the commandment, ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.’ Defying this commandment is the trademark of the devil.
Children, if you allow yourselves to know the gift of God then you could never refuse Him. And, in doing so, you would receive the greatest blessing in your life. I had no idea what I was getting into but am so glad that I did. God’s love is worth any price. His friendship is true. His wisdom is deep. His knowledge astounds. We continue to marvel at His love and the best is yet to come. Nobody needs to pinch me because I am not dreaming. This thing is so real.
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.” (1 John 4: 4 - 21).
Our purpose in life and the reason that we are here is to learn and live in love. The love of God is the grace of life. We allow ourselves to be taught by God to love because it is a learned thing. Nobody discovers love. True love comes with a price which is this - Nothing else is greater. The whole of Creation happened for love’s sake. The fulfillment of love was in mind as the worlds were framed. Love is the sole reason that we were made. Love suffers all things for the greater good. Love covers all sins.
While we have an advocate for love then there is also one for hatred. We must choose our course. The world wants you to weaken yourself to their level, voluntarily, which is how they control you. You come out of the world in reverse of the way that you went in. Listening to them got you in that hole so hearing God is the way out.
Love cannot be appreciated without hate. We had to taste of both spirits and then choose for our lives. Everybody has to do so. Again, God made the flesh knowing that it would rebel. Again, love cannot be true without a choice. Trying to do all for a soul in hope that he or she will love you in return is futile. Money cannot buy love. Love is received and given freely when it is true.
Here is the basis of God’s love - He loves deeply and completely because He wants to. Nobody makes Him. He simply chooses to. God is love. What we know about love comes from Him. He loved us first. We learned about love from this truth whether we love or not. The fact that the world hates Him is irrelevant to His loving them. If God is love, and He made us, then why do you think we are here?
God is our advocate for life. The devil is the same for hate. The devil takes the pleasures of the flesh and uses them to get the world to hate God. God made the flesh. What sense does it make to love something more than the one that gave it to you? Life is a gift from God. He does not owe life to anybody but chooses to give it out of the goodness of His heart. What you do with your life makes all the difference in the world as far as enjoying it is concerned.
The world claims to have the same gifts as God. They claim to love, have power, be just and good in their hearts. The difference is this - Following the world damns your soul and following God saves it. The world believes in words without true action. God’s Word is action. “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.”
How can you leave love to go to love? You cannot. To forsake God is to turn to hatred, plain and simple. Having hate in your heart is certain death. Nobody can hate and go to Heaven. God is hated deeply by the devils who work to turn us away from Him because He loves us dearly. From the moment that we come into the world, we are under attack. The greatest war ever has been raging since the beginning but Jesus has won it already. Every soul that comes into the world is thrown into the battle. We have to learn how to fight and survive. Aligning your soul with the devil is a loser’s move which most people make. The few realize that they have made a bad mistake and turn back to God. In doing so, they see loved ones that are in the world who will not return to God. Consequently, the children of God endure deep hurt for righteousness’ sake. Through such tribulation, the few get to know how God feels.
You see what is good and evil by being in God. The world wants to see evil as good. A child of God loves the Truth. God has given us every reason to love Him. If God dwells in us then His love is perfected in us. Yes - A person can be perfect in this world by being not of the flesh but of the Spirit of God. We came to the Lord as carnal beings knowing only the flesh. God is Spirit and to be close to Him then we must be of His Spirit as well.
We do not know all that the Lord does for us but are certain of this - He changes us from what we were to something much better. The transformation begins from the moment of our commitment to God. We are reborn from a carnal to a spiritual mind. Like a newborn child, we do not understand all that there is to life but have a tutor and governor who will teach and show us the way. We are born of our carnal minds no more but, instead, of God. We love in the mind of Christ Jesus. We overcome the world’s evils to do God’s Will.
God brings our minds to perfection. Perfection is loving your enemies. If you can love your enemies then you can love your brethren. If you love your brethren then God is in you. Being of such love is how you love Him. In love, you see God and Christ. You have been changed from a sinful soul to one that loves God.
Love torments and burns the devils. Therefore, they fight hard to prevent us from exercising our God-given abilities and rights. They use the spirits of the world to do so. We cannot base our lives on feelings but, rather, on what is right.
“Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him. If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him. Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” (John 13: 31 - 35).
When you love your enemies according to the commandments of God then there is nothing else that can stop you. You are perfect and have all power. When you endure the evils of the world and return love instead then you come into seeing, knowing, and understanding the life that is God. You are caught up into Heavenly places having been born of the Spirit of God. We are His children and He is our Father. These things are true even though we are still in but not of the flesh.
Life has always been about loving one another. God took of Himself and made the worlds. Then, He continued to give so that we would know the riches of His goodness. Nothing else is better in life. God knows that He is good to us but desires that we know it too. Do not trouble yourselves with the world’s questions to doubtful disputations because they are in this life for a moment only.
This great glory is so real in our lives and yet is nothing to the world. A soul that is dead cannot know true love. Loving one another is the great commandment of God and accomplishes all things as Jesus did on the cross. The worlds begin and end with Him.
The reason we are here is obvious and has been known by man from the beginning. Love is mandatory for life. God tells us to enjoy our lives while abstaining from evil which is disobeying His commandments. As God is in Heaven then so we should be in earth. He loves His enemies even now and so we must. It is not what you can do for me but, rather, what I can do for you. Love is giving of yourself whether you are rich or poor. There is no excuse for not giving. God gives all the time and so we must.
Everything that we have and know was given unto us. Should we not be as generous to one another? Somebody prayed for me. Should not I pray for my brothers? Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and running over shall men give into your bosom. For with what measure that you give the same shall be given to you again. For God so loved the world that He gave. What you have to give was given unto you already.
We are here to be like God, holy, righteous and pure. We are here to be great in works first which gives our words power. Love heals. If we have a spirit that heals then so can our words. The Spirit that heals is of God and if He is in us then we can heal too. Jesus Christ’s power comes from God who is in Him. Jesus said often enough that His works were of the Father who was in Him. And, the words that He spoke were given to Him to speak by the Father. Mark the perfect man.
We are here to be a blessing to life, not a curse. We are here to give life to others. The first man was intended to be Jesus for the flesh but failed. Now we have the Christ of God and succeed by going into all the world, preaching the gospel to every creature, and baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. This great work is extremely pleasing to our God because He is manifested in Heaven and in earth. We are here to love.
